How to Prepare For Your Teacher Interview
If you’re in Teacher’s College, just graduated or already teaching, it’s a great idea to get a trusted mentor and a group of 3-5 fellow classmates.
Next, brainstorm the best teaching interview questions you can think of. Then, brainstorm again for the single best answer to the interview questions.
A good place to start is by searching Google and YouTube.
It’s a good idea to go to every interview you can possibly go to. This will give you experience in not only interviewing, but an opportunity to answer interview questions.
Another tip for your interview comes from what Warren Buffet told business students from the University of Maryland. He said that his hiring team at Berkshire Hathaway look for intelligence, integrity and energy in prospective employees. One thing his hiring team don’t pay much attention to is IQ. They’d rather get someone with a real passion for business over the smartest guy in the room.
So keep that in mind when interviewing—show your passion for teaching. It really means everything.
