Here’s What You Should Ask Yourself Every Friday
Every Friday, when all the students have left and I’m finally left with a quiet classroom, I think about my week.
The highs, the lows, the ups, the downs …
I want to share a ‘checklist’ with you that will help you think about your week and how you could have made it even better…
End Of Week Checklist – (Questions to ask yourself)
1) Have I advanced my students this week? If yes, in what areas?
2) What mistakes did I make that I can learn from and improve upon?
3) Have I done at least 1 thing each day this week that I didn’t want to do, but that would help my students or myself if I did it?
4) What have I put off that needs to be tackled next?
5) What are the most important actions I need to be focusing on next week?
When I started asking myself questions, and reflecting on my teaching, I found better results immediately followed. You and I have greater aspirations for our teaching lives and we need to stretch ourselves.
Daily.
Hourly.
Minute by minute sometimes.
You and I can be SO much more than we presently are.
Let’s GO FOR IT.
Let’s unleash our greatness and create a masterpiece called our lives.
Are you in?
Think about it first, are you in?
Onward!
Make a 72-hour commitment.
Take 1 action a day that you REALLY want to put off.
And, start adding more ACTION-MINDED, POSITIVE MINDED people to your ‘world’.
Learn from them.
Grow with them.
Get EXCITED about your future! YOU deserve amazing things and I believe in you.
You have something in common with all the great teachers that came before us.
What is that you ask?
YOU were born to do something GREAT.
YOU were born to make a difference in the lives of your students!
So, Just DO IT.
Until next time,
Talk to each other, support each other, take care of each other.
