STUDY GUIDES AND STRATEGIES WEBSITE (GR. 4-UNIVERSITY)
With school now underway, teaching students good study skills is an ongoing uphill challenge. My go to site on this huge topic has always been
Joe Landsberger's Study Guides and Strategies Website. Joe has been researched, authored, and maintained this site since 1996.
Hundreds of resources for studying are included in the following folders:
Learning/studying; Time/project management; Reading/research;Writing
Memorizing/testing Teaching/curriculum; Workplace; Math/bibliographies
and Exercises/games

AND NOW FOR SOME GOOD NEWS (GR. 4-8)
I'm a news junkie. I've always loved listening to the news. Unfortunately, a lot of the news on the major networks is downright depressing.
Jennifer Runde's blog post "And Now for Some Good News" reports about the benefits of positive news. She posts a number of positive news stories and websites that offer positive news for students. Jennifer also posted 8 ways to incorporate good news in your classroom. She has even created a Current Events Form to go with her wonderful ideas.
