TOMATOSPHERE (USA AND CANADIAN TEACHERS, STUDENTS GR. 3,6,9)

See full size image

Tomatosphere is a curriculum-driven REAL science project for grades 3, 6 and 9 for Canadian and American schools. It is FREE for teachers (except for the peat pots needed for germination of the seeds). The project provides everything the teacher needs to deliver the experiment to the classroom - background materials, student activities, curriculum connections, assessment suggestions and student graphics and videos. The project has been very successful, with more than 12 450 classes enrolled in 2010. If you register for 2011, you will receive your two sets of seeds – one that has been affected by some aspect of travel in space, and a second set which will be your control group – in the latter part of February, 2011. Each package will contain approximately 35 seeds – enough for one class.
