THINKPORT (TEACHERS AND PARENTS)
http://www.thinkport.org
Thinkport has loads of digital classroom resources (from PBS and otherhigh-
quality sources), lesson plans, activities, and interactive electronic field trips.
It also offers professional development courses for teachers, technology tutorials
and some great tools for building classroom websites and customizing projects
on the web.
Teachers can sign up (it's free) and get an electronic Idea Box where
they can save all their stuff. Then it's all there when they go back
to it--now that's a time-saver! Teachers in Maryland have praised it
(it was developed over a 2-year period with teachers and educators for
real hands-on usefullness) and U.S. Dept of Education has called it "a
model for other states."
