Hello Busy Educator,
Yesterday was my birthday. (I’m closing in on another birthday that ends in a zero!)
For my birthday I arranged a culinary tour of local food producers in our neighbouring county of Oxford Ontario Canada.
We met owners of a local diner, gift shop, cheese, beef and pork producers, a peanut, potato farmer who makes potato chips and potato beer (as well as 3 other beers). We ended our day in a small fine dining restaurant in a small town.
What amazed my wife and I are the stories from these small “mom and pop” entrepreneurs who’ve come here from all parts of the world to start a new life.
It’s great to go out and support the “mom and pop” entrepreneurs and find out where your food really comes from!
