This text is jam packed with excellent ideas for all teachers but in particular middle grade teachers.

Solid pedagogical advice. Although it is written from a constructivist stance on it is not too far down that track. The classroom management section is in particular very helpful for beginning teachers.

It is very easy to read and understand. It is the sort of text you will return to time and again.

Marjan Glavac’s book, Becoming an Effective Teacher in Minutes, is packed with easy to implement, effective strategies that teachers can learn and use right away. If you are a new teacher or a teacher with years of experience, you will find tips and techniques you can use right away. Glavac has a gift for writing in a way that is entertaining, easy to understand, and follow. I recommend the book for use in collaborative, grade level, or school wide meetings. It is a must have for new teachers.
